LoiS has been storytelling professionally since 1970. After more than 35 years as both a librarian & storyteller she is comfortable with groups of all ages and sizes, has a large repertoire of stories, & can create a program to fit almost any need with stories from around the world & back through time.

LoiS is noted for a lively style & programs that often are participatory and may be enriched with music, sign language, or puppets. Among her historical programs, LoiS re-enacts Liberetta Lerich Green, who grew up on an Underground Railroad Station and aided Civil War home front efforts. Other historical programs are her "Hired Girl" & "One-Room School Teacher." A certified Word Weaving trainer, she conducts workshops for beginners through experienced tellers.

LoiS is an artist on the following rosters:
Michigan Humanities Touring Directory,
Historical Society of Michigan Directory.

She also is a VSA Arts of Michigan resident artist-educator.
