(editor's note: Leanne passed away late August 2007. We've left her page here for the time being as a memorial to a fine person, a fine storyteller and a gifted friend of the Storyteller.net community.)

Leanne Johnson combines her love of music with her passion for storytelling to bring new life to old tales, original stories, poetry and songs for listeners of all ages. Now a full-time performer, she has been telling stories professionally since 1989, and has shared her tales across the Midwest and beyond.
Many of Leanne’s tales are sprinkled with musical accompaniment. Instruments that emerge in performance include Celtic harp, bodhran (Irish drum), and assorted rattles and noise makers.
A story session with Leanne is lively, entertaining, and thought-provoking. She enjoys working with all audiences, from pre-schoolers to golden-agers, and in a variety of classroom settings. Even Middle School students like her! She gracefully balances her performances with humor, intelligence, and rich, age-appropriate language. Words play, verses sing, and toes tap as her characters dance their way along the path of story.
How can you resist this much fun!
