In her search for stories, Cathy has slid through Indian rice fields, sipped sake with Japanese epic singers, met with monks in Thailand and Korea, hiked the Himalayas with Tibetan dancers, and shared many tales with Southeast Asian refugees in her home state of Washington. Thousands of listeners in the US, Canada, and across Asia have heard Cathy tell. Many more have enjoyed her books, included a an award winning anthology from August House, Asian Tales and Tellers, a series of five Asian storybooks from The Wright Group, an ALA Notable -- Nine-in-One,Grr!Grr!, and Judge Rabbit, both from Children’s Book Press, and many more.
