Ever since I stumbled upon my first book of Irish folktales I’ve been in love with folklore. And after many years of listening to the wonderful tellers in the area I became brave enough to take up storytelling.

Now, 16 years later, I work with lore from all countries, though tales of Ireland and Scotland hold a special place in my soul. I also work with stories for all ages - literally ranging from 3 to 90.

Amongst my performances have the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry’s Holiday of Lights, and recreational summer programs and fall festivals. I have also performed for several years at the Springfield, Illinois St. Andrews’ Society Highland Games and at their Celtic Festival; and in the last 5 years I have headed their Heritage tent. Plus I have been teaching, "Introduction to Storytelling" for the last several years for Lincoln Land Community College’s Continuing Education program.

I am also President of Nature in Legend and Story (NILAS), which is devoted to environmental education; it is a meeting ground storytellers, scholars, activists, and any interested in the interaction between humans and nature.
