Cynthia invites you to "Listen…and catch life by the tales!" Cynthia’s stories, though family oriented, are really geared for the grown-up’s enjoyment. Children already understand the value of silliness for its own sake, they are naturally open to the world of possibility, and do not question the power of magic. But sometimes we more “mature” folks need a little help. And besides, why should kids have all the fun? With stories gathered from diverse lands, cultures and genres; Cynthia pulls her listeners along with her on a journey off the beaten path, as she points out the hidden wonders, fascinating creatures and colorful characters along the way. And if you listen carefully, and pay close attention, you just might “catch life by the tale!” But be sure to hang on tight ‘cause it’s a doozie!
AVAILABLE ADVENTURESRib-ticklin’, Leg-pullin’ Flapdoodle The simplest definition of the word flapdoodle is, “nonsense talk”. That pretty much describes this collection of yarns, ditties and whoppers especially chosen for their ability to make you break out in a grin. Discovering Magic While Picking Your Nose
Part of the nature of magic is its unpredictability. It can appear when we least expect it and in the most unlikely places. These stories celebrate the notion that the possibility of magic is all around us – yes, even under our very noses. Spunk, With Bells On
The characters in these tales “go for the gusto”. They revel in life’s adventure. Taking what comes at them and making it their own. They do not wait for permission to be themselves, nor do they need it. Their motto is “life is to be enjoyed” whether life realizes it or not. You Must Remember This – Legacy Story Workshop The how and why of family stories. This session will show you how to find those pockets of storysharing gold hidden in your memory. We will look at the different aspects you want to be aware of in choosing, crafting and telling your stories. The group will hear examples of personal tales and have the chance to share some of their own. Participants will also receive tips on how to collect these stories into a format that can be passed on to future generations Upcoming performances!
