SET FORTH ON A STORYTELLING
ADVENTURE WITH AMY PRATER!!

With over ten years of professional entertainment experience, Amy Prater travels near and far making memorable experiences for audiences of children and adults of all ages.

Amy uses her voice, energy and creativity to captivate audiences as well as educate other storytellers and teachers through workshops. Amy performs at libraries, schools, churches, birthday parties and other special events. Her most recent character education program has been well received in schools because of the creative way Amy combines tales and meaningful messages and her audiences enjoy the lively discussion after her stories.

Amy is flexible and can cater a story program to almost any occasion, but here are some of her most popular storytelling programs:

TALES OF CHARACTER
This program weaves music, whimsy and humor while teaching values like respect, safety, reponsibility, cooperation, kindness and peacefulness. Children will experience Amy’s portrayal of the elephant with its raspy trumpet noise in the "Tug of War" and will revisit familiar characters like the "Selfish Giant" and the Little Red Hen." This program is sure to bring laughs and lessons to audiences in grades K-3.

ONCE UPON A GIGGLE
This program of fractured fairy tales, myths and fables is great for older children, in grades 4-6. Amy weaves in a mixture of original and tradition tales, like the "Flower Princess", a lesson in equality, as well as her own version of the "Emperor’s New Clothes" which is sure to bring giggles and guffaws. As with all of Amy’s tales, they teach subtle lessons, while bringing lots of laughter.

READING: AN ADVENTURE TO OTHER WORLDS!
This program takes the audience on a trip around the world traveling to distant lands, as we hear delightful stories from far off places. Children mentally pack their bags an learn of other countries and cultures, like Africa with beating drums and tales of trickster rabbits. We may also fly to Thailand to learn that "freedom can’t be killed" and listners may also journey to Japan and learn of responsibility. We arrive close to home from our journey with the conclusion that reading is a vital part of all of our lives. Wherever Amy takes you, you can be sure to enjoy her energy, vitality and fun lessons for living.

FESTIVE HOLIDAY STORIES
Join Amy as she takes you on a story land adventure with seasonal stories to suit your program. She can do nativity stories, Santa stories or winter tales. Whatever your venue she can delight your audience with holiday tales she can also make dozens of holiday twisty balloon sculptures for the children.

SMILEY THE CLOWN:
Amy has also entertained as Smiley the Clown for the last ten years. She performs at birthday parties, family gatherings, parades, festivals and other special events. She does hundreds of those wonderful twisty balloon shapes and can face paint, tell stories and perform magic tricks and puppet shows. Contact Amy today to book a clown show.
