Posted: 2007-01-14 By SNStaff

There are still a few spaces left in the Public Speaking/Storytelling Gestures Workshop Sean is offering in the Glendale, AZ area on Friday night, January 19, 2007 at 7PM. Here are the details:

What:
“Fidget, Flick and Finesse: Improving Your Gestures and Movement as a Storyteller and Public Speaker”
You’ll explore the use of gestures and "where you are in the story" to improve not only your storytelling but all public speaking. Great for professionals, students and anyone who wants to look and sound better in public. Try this one! You will explore the uses of “intentionality,” the “Three Consonants” “Heavy Hands” and more.
Like all of Sean’s workshops, this is a very active, "I was never bored" experience. You will walk out of this workshop with new skills that you can use immediately to improve your speaking and storytelling. This is a real workshop. You will learn new skills. You will practice these new skills. Come ready to work and play.

Cost:
$5 for members of the West Valley Tellers of Tales/$10 for non members
(Membership in the West Valley Tellers of Tales is $10 per calendar year, September to August, if you are interested in joining.)

Who (For):

Bring:
Bring these supplies- either 2 one-gallon jugs of water (filled) or two of the heaviest books you can find. Really- Bring these with you. Don’t worry, you will be taking them back home as well. Also, be prepared with some type of small story to tell to your small-group during the workshop. Either be prepared with a story you are working on now or find a simple Aesop fable or the like that you’d like to learn to tell.
