We are currently working to restore all of the sound files and stories on the site. The company that hosts the sound files is not the same as the hosting company for the main site. Apparently, the sound hosts had a catstrophic failure earlier this week. Although they restored "80%" of the sites, guess who fell into that "20%" group. Sigh. Currently we have about 25% of the files fixed. We will work over the next few days to get to 100%. If you find a file is not working, feel free to send us an Email and we will check it.
Thanks for your patience. Heres the note from the hosting company that they sent us. The apology applies to you our customers as well:
Dear Valued Customer,
As you may already know, we experienced some technical problems withyour web server today.
On Monday morning April 7th, the server you are hosted on had a failure. This failure affected the raid array resulting in a complete loss of the array. The array failure resulted in the loss of all data on the array. We have tried to restore your site to its original state. Some pages may or may not have been restored and some pages may have become corrupt. Please check the contents of your website to ensure it was properly restored. If you have a copy of your website located on your computer, you should upload the pages overwriting the current pages in your web directory.
Although our support center was flooded with calls today we have experienced overwhelming support and understanding from our customers regarding this issue. We would like to thank each and everyone of you and also apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.
We are completely committed to our customers and hope that this outage did not compromise your trust in us."
