1:00PM Workshop for Storytellers and Other Performing Artists
Improv Skills for Storytellers and Performing Artists
At its heart, theatrical improvisation (improv) relies on storytelling in the moment. And the same tools that help
you create stories spontaneously also impart skills useful in everyday life: thinking on your feet,
dealing with the unexpected, taking risks, failing good-naturedly, and focused listening. Through fun and
interactive exercises, we'll learn the underlying theories of improv, create stories, and discover tools
to harness the creative power of spontaneity. This 3 hour workshop will be led by featured teller Tim Ereneta
4:00PM: Workshop Concludes
5:30PM Doors Open for Evening Events
6:00PM Evening Concert
Our evening will begin with tales told by members of the Arizona Storytelling Guild. Following an intermission,
our featured storyteller, Tim Ereneta will take the stage around 7PM.
8:00PM Our first Emergent Storytelling Series event concludes. See you in April!
