It's Time To Discover The Best Voices
In Storytelling That You Haven't Yet Heard.
About the Emergent Storytelling Series:
The goal of the Emergent Storytelling Series is to give the storytelling community, both present and future, the chance
to hear and experience some of the excellent voices in contemporary storytelling.
Rather than apply the diminutive phrase of "new voices" to storytellers who have been working for a decade or more,
we've chosen to name the series "Emergent" to symbolize the opportunity for these excellent storytellers to
continue to make their presence known, emerging as it were, on a national-level stage. Many of them are long overdue
for this type of recognition.
Storytellers participating in the Emergent Storytelling Series are not beginners. You will get a chance to experience the work of talented
and productive professionals. We hope you enjoy the Emergent Storytelling Series in Arizona.
If this is your first time at a real storytelling event, come participate in an art form that must be experienced to
be truly understood. We're glad to welcome you. If you are a long time member of the storytelling community,
you are in for something fresh and new to you.
About the Arizona Storytelling Guild:
The members of the guild are a coalition of artists and learners who use storytelling in all facets of life and careers.
Storytellers within a range of beginner to professional skill levels are invited to attend and participate. Membership in
the non-profit AzSG is $25 per year and includes a variety of benefits. Potential members and guests are always free of
charge at their first meeting before joining the guild. Non-members who wish to attend various functions throughout
the year are welcome to do so for a nominal fee of $10 per event. For more information about the AzSG, please see the
website at http://www.arizonastorytelling.com or call the office at 623.298.4548
