As a storyteller, I am constantly on the lookout for great accessories to enhance my performances. A simple accessory can really help paint a picture for an audience. A scarf, hat, cane, or glasses can add a lot of spice to a story. Garage sales are a good place to look for items like these. Don’t be too picky. You never know what stories you may write later that require something you picked up at a garage sale.
It is even possible you may find an item that sparks an idea in your head. A story about where it came from, or what the person who used this item was like.
