Questions and Answers!

“What is an affiliate program?”
Essentially, you get paid for every sale made for customers you personally refer to Storytellingproducts.com. You send us paying customers (through your links or ID) and we send you commission for the sales to that customer. Affiliate programs are very common on the Internet.

“What will it cost me to be an affiliate for Storytellingproducts.com?"
Being an affiliate is free of charge. Simply apply today. We are waiving the one-time $5 application fee until 12/30/2006.

“How do I apply?”
Please read through all of this information below and then click the link at the bottom of this page. We will evaluate the site on which you intend to link to us and then send you a decision letter via Email.

“What links do I use? What graphics do I use?”
We will provide to you your link, your affiliate ID and a page with several different types of graphics you can you use on your website. You will get the URL to these graphics with your acceptance Email.

“Will my account expire?”
If you fail to make any commissions for two months in a row. We will send to you, via Email, a notice that your account is being evaluated. If you fail to make any commission in a third consecutive month, we will then cancel your account.

“Where can I post my links?”
You may post your affiliate link on your approved website, use it in your Email signature (NO SPAM!) or use it in printed advertising. You may also optionally order postcards and business cards from us with your affiliate ID included on them. (Coming Soon.)

Do not SPAM! That means do not send Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). We enforce this point very strictly. Do not send Email to people that do not ask to receive Email from you. It makes no difference what your intentions are, how much you think they “need” something or if you are “trying to help.” DO NOT send unsolicited email to anyone with your Storytellingproducts.com information or affiliate ID attached. If you SPAM and we get complaints about your UCE, you will lose your account with us and you will forfeit any unpaid commissions.

“Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to be an affiliate?”
In order to be an affiliate with us, you must be able to receive PayPal payments or paper checks drawn on a U.S. bank. Our products normally ship to U.S. and Canadian addresses with special arrangements for Europe, Australia and Mexico.

“Why do you need my Tax Id number?”
For U.S. affiliates, we will forward a 1099 Form to you for any year where you make more than $100 in commissions. We need your Tax Id number in order to send that form to you. Without providing it, you can not be an affiliate for Storytellingproducts.com. Your information is kept in strictest confidence. If you are uncomfortable entering your SS# online, please complete the application, entering "555-55-5555" in the space on the online form. We will then send you a W9 form via postal mail to complete your application.

“How much do I get paid as an affiliate?”
You are paid a commission on your sales. Your sales come from when a customer has used one of your links to our site (or entered your affiliate ID from any advertising you may do) and then places an order. If they go to another affiliate’s site and then use the links on that site, the other affiliate will get the commission. Like all affiliate programs, we pay affiliate with the last referral to our site. In order to earn subsequent commissions, your customer must come through your website or links for each subsequent sale. We make the final determination as to which affiliate gets paid for any specific customer. You are paid on the total amount of the order, less any coupons used less shipping charge.

You start out at 2% commission. After you have generated more than $35 commissions in a single calendar month, you move to 3% the following month and remains at that level. If you generate more than $50 in commissions in a single calendar month, then your commission rate moves up to 4% the following month and remains at that level.

In most cases, you will receive an Email that advises you when a sale has been made with your affiliate ID. However, these sales notices are subject to verification by our staff and are simply a courtesy to you as an affiliate.

If you are a vendor with us at Storytellingproducts.com, your percentage rate has already been advised to you. If you are a verifiable non-profit organization, please contact us for your special commission rates.

If a customer you have referred seeks a refund, a charge-back or otherwise results in a loss of income and product sales, you will not receive your commission for that sale. If a customer calls our office to place an order instead of using the website, you will not get paid commissions for that sale.

“When will I be paid?"
Currently, we pay monthly. We pay your commission on our about the 10th day of second month after the month you earned your commission. For example, if you earn a commission on March 29th you will earn receive your payment for that commission on or about May 10th. This allows time to for customers to make returns, for charge-backs or fraud alerts from our bank, etc. If you have less than $1 in commissions in any month, those commissions will roll-over to the next month.

"How will I be paid?”
We pay either by PayPal or by paper check. We will contact you after your account is approved to ask you how you would like to be paid. Our first choice to pay you your commissions is via PayPal. The email address that you use for this affiliate program must be the same Email address that you use for your PayPal account. You are responsible for any fees that PayPal may charge you in order to receive money. If you do not wish to use PayPal, then we can send you a paper check. For paper checks, you must have earned at least $15 in commissions due to you. If in any given commission period you do not have $15 in commission and you choose a paper check payment from us, we will then roll-over your commissions to the next month. There will be a $3 fee deducted from your check for administration fees when we send you a paper check. There is no administration fee for PayPal payments. If you are a vendor at Storytellingproducts.com, there is no administration fee for either method.

"What is our relationship?”
You must be at least 18 years of age to be an affiliate with us. You are not an employee of Creation Company Consultants, Storyteller.net or Storytellingproducts.com. We have no liability or obligation to you other than to pay your commissions each month. We or you may end this agreement at any time for any reason with or without notice. If we remove you from our affiliate program, we will notify you by Email.

“Why would my site or application be rejected?”
We do not allow websites that: promote or contain or link to sexually explicit materials; promote violence, promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age; promote illegal activities, violate intellectual property rights or violate any local, state, federal or other law or regulation; contain little or no original content, engage in spamming, indiscriminate advertising or unsolicited commercial email; engage in cybersquatting; utilize a Web site or email link to Web sites that contain or promote any of these types of content: libelous, defamatory, disparaging materials, obscene, pornographic, abusive, violent, bigoted, hate-oriented, illegal, cracking, hacking or warez, or that offer any illegal good or service, or link to Web sites that do so; or mislead others in advertising.

“Anything else I need to know?”
If the first or second valid order (no charge-backs, no returns, etc) we receive with your affiliate ID is for yourself or your organization, you will not be paid commissions for that order.

We are not associated with PayPal, which is a registered trademark.

By becoming an affiliate, you are agreeing to receive Email, FAX, and postal contacts from us as needed. You agree to unblock your Email accounts so that you can receive Email from “sean@storyteller.net,” “sales@storyteller.net,” and “affiliates@storyteller.net” as needed. Complaints from you or your ISP about our Email or FAX communications will result in immediate removal from our affiliate program. All communication from us to you are confidential and may not be reprinted or distributed in any form.

You agree that our decisions regarding the payout of commissions and by which affiliate commissions have been earned and will be paid are solely our decision and are final.

These terms are subject to change at anytime. We are free to cancel the affiliate program at anytime with 14 days notice to you. You will be paid any commission owed as of program termination.
